Fort Bliss is as much a part of El Paso as our Franklin Mountains and friendly neighbors. It’s a natural part of our culture to extend a warm welcome to the troops from around the world that call our piece of desert home. That’s why GECU celebrates Military Appreciation Month every May — to set aside time to honor the dedication of our troops, veterans and their families.

SUN CITY SUPPORT

GECU proudly supports the military and their families on Fort Bliss and in the El Paso community. Throughout the year, we support them with social events, welcome-home ceremonies and more. GECU’s financial coaches also provide free financial education and one-on-one counseling during special seminars — ensuring that our service members have the information that they need to achieve financial freedom in their active-duty and post-service life.

DOING OUR PART

Representatives from GECU play a vital role in base life and in serving with organizations such as the Association of the United States Army, to help make our troops’ lives more comfortable during their stay at Fort Bliss. Whether it’s a forever home or a temporary duty station, we’re happy to do our part to make sure that our troops know that we appreciate their service and want them to feel at home in the Sun City!
