INTERNATIONAL CREDIT UNION DAY
At GECU, we live the credit union difference every single day through our efforts to keep the people helping people philosophy alive.
Our philosophy goes back to the 1840s, when citizens of the workforce came together by pooling their incomes and loaning money to each other. This eventually led to them being on solid financial ground and to their businesses flourishing.
The World Council of Credit Union Inc. (WOCCU) was born in 1971 to help establish viable credit union movements. WOCCU advocates on behalf of the credit union community internationally. The movement has grown so much that now more than 235 million people are credit union members in 109 countries and six continents.
Join us during this year’s International Credit Union Day to celebrate the credit union movement! We’ll be at the locations listed below with free treats, fun activities and awesome giveaways.* You can even get a FREE #LoveMyCU shirt when you open a new account.** We’ll see you there!
