The GECU Downtown Branch at Campbell & Mills is now open and to celebrate, we’ve put together a video that celebrates our community.
You’ll notice some familiar faces and some new personalities in our video and you’ll definitely notice some unique El Paso landmarks. We’ve been a part of the El Paso community since 1932 and we’re proud of our hometown roots!
MEET THE DANCERS:
LUIS
Luis enjoys hiking, performing, traveling, painting, art, making costumes & design. On his free time, he likes to read, study, attend art and charity events, dine, and workout.
CRYSTAL
In addition to being GECU’s President and CEO, Crystal loves to sing along with her favorite music and spend time with family on the weekends. She also loves taking care of her three tiny dogs named, Bella, Mia, and Sheba. Crystal enjoys staying busy with work, her family and community outreach in and outside of El Paso.
RUBEN
On his down time, Ruben likes going to the gym and spending time with his gym family. He loves being around his nephew and niece & watching the Cowboys play! He also enjoys eating pizza and watching new movie releases, especially comedy movies. But most importantly, Ruben likes to cut-a-rug and listen/dance to music.
RUBY
Ruby loves her job as a Humanities and Philosophy educator. She is an animal lover and actively partakes in actions to help and save them. She also performs flamenco at various places here in El Paso.
JAKE
Jake likes working out and taking his two pit bulls to play at the park. Other hobbies include eating tacos and watching movies, especially scary ones!
LEE
Lee enjoys skateboarding, watching basketball and attending church with his family. He is an Army Veteran, proud husband and father.
LIZZIE
Besides owning “New You Fitness” on the westside of El Paso, Lizzie is an IFBB PRO Bikini Competitor. She has her own line of gym clothes and is one of the founders of a local health movement/fitness festival called #LiveFitEP. She enjoys spending time with her husband Shane Martinez & going to church.
DRU BLUE
Dru is GECU’s friend and mascot. He likes peanut butter and banana sandwiches and meeting new people. Dru was born in the Franklin Mountains and enjoys saving his bones at GECU!
CHICO
Chico, El Paso’s Favorite Chihuahua, is a fun loving dog who loves baseball and winning. He was born in El Paso, TX.
NATHAN
Besides being one of El Paso’s leading hairstylists, Nathan loves spending time with friends and family and traveling on his time off.
DAVID
David is a proud U.S. Airforce Veteran. He is always looking to learn something new and has completed several degrees from UTEP. He works as a criminal justice teacher, enjoys playing organized basketball, participating in tournaments & dining out in the company of his wife.
ANDY
Andy, the El Paso Chihuahuas On-Field Emcee, loves baseball, and was born in Burbank, CA.
XAN
Xan is 9 years old, was born in El Paso, loves to dance and play sports and is an A-student.
MATT
Matt loves to play the drums, riding motorcycles with Speedy (His lovable pup) & taking him on hikes.
